Pusher furnace with exit chamber

Pusher type furnace with separate exit chamber for the heated ingots passed through it, which is separately heated by burners directed upwards and fitted in the front wall of the furnace below ingot level, and also contains rails on which the ingots rest and on which they move, which are offset sideways relative to the rails in the main furnace chamber. Provision of a separate chamber results in reduced heat losses on removal of the ingots whilst the repositioned rails help to even out the temp. in the ingots.
