A liquid ejecting apparatus includes: a head that ejects liquid to be cured by receiving irradiation of an electromagnetic wave onto a medium; a provisional-curing irradiation section that emits a first electromagnetic wave to a dot formed on the medium by the liquid; and a main-curing irradiation section that emits a second electromagnetic wave, which has irradiation intensity higher than that of the first electromagnetic wave, to the dot to which the first electromagnetic wave is emitted. When the main-curing irradiation section emits the second electromagnetic wave, a dot forming surface of the medium faces the lower side in the direction of gravity.

1. A liquid ejecting apparatus comprising:
a supporting member that contacts a medium when the medium is transported; a head ejecting a liquid to the medium while the medium contacts the supporting member, the head positioned so as to face the supporting member; and a light source that emits an electromagnetic wave to the liquid that has been ejected to the medium by the head, wherein, when the light source emits the electromagnetic wave to the liquid that has been ejected to a portion of the medium,
the portion of the medium is tilted in a direction of gravity,a dot forming surface of the portion of the medium faces a lower side in a direction of gravity, andan area of the portion of the medium is separated from any other members, wherein a first component force of the gravity working on the liquid landed on the medium is larger than a second component force of the gravity working on the liquid landed on the medium at a position in which the medium opposes the light source, wherein the first component force is parallel to the dot forming surface and the second component force is perpendicular to the dot forming surface.
