PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery and battery pack in which heat generation is suppressed during overdischarge.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery including a positive electrode 5, a negative electrode 6, a separator 7, an overdischarge control member 8, and a nonaqueous electrolyte is provided. The negative electrode 6 includes a negative electrode collector 6a composed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and a negative electrode active material-containing layer 6b formed on the negative electrode collector 6a. The separator 7 is arranged between the positive electrode 5 and negative electrode 6. The overdischarge control member 8 is composed of copper or a copper alloy, and connected electrically with the negative electrode collector 6a. |
