PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag apparatus which has a simple and low-cost structure and can raise the inner pressure of an air bag body instantaneously during deployment and inflation of the air bag body to achieve deployment and inflation quickly and suppress excessive rise of the inner pressure of the air bag body during an occupant restraint time of the air bag body.SOLUTION: An air bag apparatus includes an air bag body 32 which is deployed and inflated by supplying a gas and a vent hole 40 which is provided in a second base fabric 37 forming the air bag body 32 and connects the inside with the outside of the air bag body 32. In the peripheral edge part of the air bag body 32, a joint part 50 superimposed on a part of the second base fabric 37 and joined together is formed at a position corresponding to the vent hole 40 in the circumferential direction of the air bag body 32. |
