<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a separator for a lithium ion secondary battery, mainly composed of a cellulose fiber and low in internal resistance; and a method for manufacturing the separator.SOLUTION: A separator for a lithium ion secondary battery is mainly composed of a cellulose fiber. The surface of the cellulose fiber is covered with polymethylpentene. A method for manufacturing a separator for a lithium ion secondary battery includes a step of applying a process liquid, which is obtained by dissolving polymethylpentene in a solvent mainly composed of hydrocarbon, on a nonwoven fabric mainly composed of a cellulose fiber, and then drying the solvent to be removed.</p> |
