PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which efficiently grasps a water distribution network state to support generation and modification of an update plan.SOLUTION: An information system of a water distribution network includes: a pipe network DB 310 in which pipe network information is stored; a water amount and quality DB 320 in which a flow rate and a residual chloride concentration in the water distribution network from a distributing reservoir to a hydrant are stored; pipe network calculation means 350 which calculates residual chloride concentrations in normal pipelines and abnormal pipelines; important inspection section designation means 360 which extracts a section having a larger degree of abnormality on the basis of the result of the pipe network calculation means 350; sensors which are installed at least at the start point and terminal point of the section designated by the important inspection section designation means 360 and are capable of measuring water qualities and flow rates; update plan making means 370 which diagnoses an actual degree of abnormality of the pipeline in accordance with measurement values of the sensors and calculation values of the important inspection section designation means 360 to make or modify an update plan; and a calculation result storage DB 330 in which respective calculation results are stored.
