PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight and improve steering stability without impairing durability.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire includes belt plies 7A and 7B having flat steel cords 10 with a n+1 structure (n=2-6) formed by making a main filament bundle 13 in which a plurality of main filaments 12 made of metal with a diameter of 0.10 to 0.30 mm are aligned to be in a line without being twisted, and by winding a metal wrapping filament 14 around the main filament bundle. The steel cords 10 are arranged so that a major axis direction B can be in parallel with a belt surface. The belt plies are formed by coating a plurality of the steel cords arranged in parallel with a rubber composition having a viscosity of 6000 to 8000 Pa s measured under the condition of 100°C in temperature and 1000 (1/sec) in shear rate. |
