PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake system capable of informing a driver of anti-lock control being operated even during brake-by-wire control.SOLUTION: A brake system 1 includes: a master cylinder pipeline 30 which connects a master cylinder 5 operating in conjunction with a brake pedal (a brake operation member) 2 operated by a driver with a BBW unit 6; and a wheel cylinder pipeline 31 which connects the BBW unit 6 with the wheel cylinder 8, the wheel cylinder pipeline 31 in which a brake fluid flowed out from the wheel cylinder 8 by pressure reduction control in anti-lock control circulates. The wheel cylinder pipeline 31 and the master cylinder 5 are placed in contact with each other so that pulsation occurring in the wheel cylinder pipeline 31 is transmitted to the master cylinder 5.
