PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement vane pump capable of suppressing pulsation of a discharge pressure by suppressing fluttering of a cam ring in starting the pump.SOLUTION: An annular groove 411 is formed on a position overlapped to a spool accommodating portion-side opening of a second communication passage 932 in a spool accommodating portion 406, and an inner diameter D1 of the annular groove 411 is larger than an inner diameter D2 of the spool accommodating portion 406 and an inner diameter D3 of a second communication passage 932. An intermediate-pressure chamber 412 and a second control chamber R2 are communicated in a state that a spool 302 is positioned at a most w-axis negative direction side, and the annular groove is formed in a state of being overlapped to a second land portion 310 in the w-axis direction. |
