PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wrong inputs by promoting accurate inputs of characters highly likely to be input in a flick input type of character input.SOLUTION: An information input device includes: a display section; an input section superimposed on the display section to input a character when a character recognition area set for each individual character that can be input is touched; a next phrase prediction section for predicting a next input prediction phrase highly likely to be input next to a character that has been definitely input; a next character candidate acquisition section for acquiring, as a next input candidate character, a character that may be input next to the character that has been definitely input in a character string constituting the next input prediction phrase; and a character recognition area setting section for setting a range of recognition angle delimiting the character recognition area for the acquired next input candidate character wider than ranges of recognition angle for the other characters. |
