PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an on-vehicle electronic control device that distinguishes a temporary failure of a non-volatile memory from an ordinary failure thereof, and enables failure determination to be surely made.SOLUTION: A CPU 110 having a control program 121 controlling a controlled device 140 by use of data on a RAM 130 is configured to: when an ignition key-141 is changed from ON to OFF, cause the data on the RAM 130 to be retreated to a non-volatile memory 170 having a plurality of areas; when the ignition key 141 is turned ON; read the data from the non-volatile memory 170; when a data damage in any area is detected by a non-volatile memory failure determination program 123, initialize the area and count up a failure determination counter arranged in some areas of the plurality of areas of the non-volatile memory 170; and when a value of any of the failure determination counters reaches a predetermined value, it is determined that the data damage is a failure of the non-volatile memory 170. |
