<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a gas barrier film with reduced occurrence of curling and having an excellent gas barrier property.SOLUTION: The method for producing a gas barrier film comprises: a hydrolysis step of mixing a raw material mixture containing alkoxysilanes (A) and (B) and a catalyst composition containing water, and obtaining a reaction product containing hydrolysates of the alkoxysilanes (A) and (B); a preliminary polymerization step of performing radical polymerization of the hydrolysate of the alkoxysilane (A) until the rate of polymerization of its alkoxy group becomes 3 to 50%; and a main polymerization step of forming a gas barrier resin layer by applying the reaction composition onto a substrate, performing radical polymerization of the hydrolysate of the alkoxysilane (A) until the rate of polymerization of its alkoxy group becomes 80% or more, then dehydration condensing a radical polymer of the alkoxysilane (A) and the hydrolysate of the alkoxysilane (B).</p> |
