PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve charge/discharge characteristics in a solid battery.SOLUTION: A solid battery 1 includes a laminated battery unit 5 including a solid electrolyte layer 2, and first and second electrode layers 3, 4 which are arranged with the solid electrolyte layer 2 interposed therebetween, the battery unit 5 being laminated via a current collecting layer 6. The current collecting layer 6 has a main surface portion 6a and an end surface portion 6b which cover a first main surface 7 and an end surface 9 of the first electrode layer 3, respectively, and the solid electrolyte layer 2 covers a second main surface 8 of the first electrode layer 3. The solid electrolyte layer 2 has a main surface portion 2a and an end surface portion 2b which cover a first main surface 10 and an end surface 12 of the second electrode layer 4, respectively, and the current collecting layer 6 covers a second main surface 12 of the second electrode layer 4. A contact area between the first electrode layer and the current collecting layer and a contact area between the second electrode layer and the solid electrolyte layer are set to be large so that transfer of ions and/or electrons between the electrode layer and the solid electrolyte layer or the current collecting layer can be efficiently performed via both of the main surface portion and the end surface portion. |
