<p>The present invention relates to a device and a method for compressing and storing radioactive waste. The method includes the steps of: suspending rotation of an internal drum (70) if a fitting groove (541) is checked by rotating the internal drum (70) supplied between a compression pipe (21) and a movement pipe (31); fixing the internal drum (70) by the compression pipe (21) and the movement pipe (31); attaching drum lids (72) to ends of a first pushing rod (41) and a second pushing rod (42) by electromagnetic power; moving the second pushing rod (42) to cover both ends of the compression pipe (21) by the drum lids (72) on the both sides; compressing, by the compression pipe (21), radioactive waste (80) of which a certain amount is inputted at a certain pressure in a certain length so that the radioactive waste (80) can be contained in the internal drum (70); automatically bolting fastening the internal drum (70) and the drum lids (72) through a bolding coupling unit (60); moving the internal drum (70) to an initial supply location; separating a coupling plate (47) from the drum lids (72); returning the first pushing rod (41) and the second pushing rod (42) to an initial setting location; withdrawing the internal drum (70) to be inserted into an external drum (90); and sealing the external drum (90) to safely store the radioactive waste (80).</p> |
