PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can suppress charging lateral stripes that are likely to occur at the end of the life of a photoreceptor, while suppressing a variation in density.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor 1, a charging member 2, a charging power source S1, exposure means 3, developing means 4, detection means 120 for detecting information correlated to the usage of the photoreceptor 1, execution means 110 for causing the exposure means 3 to execute electricity removing operation to expose the photoreceptor 1 to remove electricity, and adjustment means 110 for adjusting the amount of exposure by the exposure means 3 when executing the electricity removing operation on the basis of the information correlated to the usage of the photoreceptor 1. |
