PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve charge/discharge characteristics in a solid battery.SOLUTION: In a solid battery 1 which includes at least one battery unit 5 including a solid electrolyte layer 2 and a first and second electrode layers 3, 4 which are arranged with the solid electrolyte layer interposed therebetween, the solid electrolyte layer 2, the first electrode layer 3 and the second electrode layer 4 include main surface portions 2a, 3a, 4a and end surface portions 2b, 3b and 4b which cover respective main surfaces and end surfaces of their adjacent layers, and a thickness of the main surface portion and a thickness of the end surface portion is set to be substantially equal. The solid electrolyte layer, the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer include the main surface portion and the end surface portion so that a contact area between surfaces where transfer of ions and/or electrons is performed is made large, thereby ensuring excellent charge/discharge characteristics. |
