PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper beam formed of an aluminum alloy hollow extrusion material, in which a side part in a vehicle width direction is bent toward a vehicle body side in a horizontal plane, capable of acquiring a beam front surface shape equal to that when deep bend processing is performed, even when both side parts are not subjected to deep bend processing in which crack or fold may occur.SOLUTION: Notches 7, 8 are formed on vehicle body side end parts of side parts 3, 4, and projection parts 9, 10 having thin thickness are left by predetermined length in front of the notches 7, 8 and are subjected to bend processing toward the vehicle body side, and the projection parts cover a cut end surface of a beam from a front side. Portions (crush processing parts 11, 12) adjacent to the projection parts 9, 10 of the side parts 3, 4 are subjected to crush processing in a cross direction. The aluminum alloy hollow extrusion material is formed of front and rear flanges and plural webs coupling the flanges, and the projection parts 9, 10 are formed of the front flange and some of the webs. |
