<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction motor and manufacturing method therefor, capable of high efficiency and high quality by stably joining a conductor bar and an end ring even when the types of a metal forming mainly a conductor bar and a metal forming an end ring are different from each other.SOLUTION: The induction motor includes a plurality of conductor bars 6 embedded into a periphery of a rotor core, and an end ring 5 joined to bring both ends of each of the plurality of conductor bars 6 into conduction. Each of the conductor bars 6 is comprised of a bar-like first metal section 17 and a second metal section 18 joined to both ends thereof. The second metal section 18 is solid and block-shaped. The first metal section 17 and the second metal section 18 are joined to each other by friction agitation joining or friction pressure welding.</p> |
