PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer that has excellent low-temperature fixability and heat-resistance, and excellent fixability as well.SOLUTION: A liquid developer has toner particles including resin and colorant dispersed in an insulating liquid. The resin includes 80 mass% or more of urethan-modified polyester resin. A component derived from a polyester resin includes a constitutional unit derived from an acid component and a constitutional unit derived from an alcohol component. A constitutional unit derived from an aliphatic monomer accounts for 90 mass% or more of the constitutional unit derived from an acid component and the constitutional unit derived from an alcohol component. When a softening temperature of toner particles T, which is measured by using a flow tester with 1 kg of load, is T(°C), and when a softening temperature of toner particles T, which is measured by using a flow tester with 5 kg of load, is T(°C), |T-T|≥20°C (70°C≤T≤170°C, and 60°C≤T≤120°C) is satisfied. |
