PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for clothing having good detergency and excellent in bactericidal property even under washing condition having a large number of bacterium contained in a detergent liquid.SOLUTION: There is provided a detergent composition containing (A) an anionic surfactant having a group selected from a sulfonic acid group, a sulfuric ester group and a salt thereof and (B) a quaternary ammonium compound represented by the general formula (1) with the content of (A) of 2 mass% or more and 50 mass% or less and a molar ratio of (A)/(B) of 1 to 50. In the formula (1), R, Rand Rare each independently a hydrocarbon group having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, Ris a hydrocarbon group having 2 to 8 carbon atoms, the sum of the number of carbons of R, R, Rand Ris 16 to 32, and Xis an anion. |
