PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suppressing shrinkage cavity occurring when molten metal poured into a casting mold freezes during casting of a caliper.SOLUTION: There is provided a metallic mold used in casting equipment for a caliper in order to cast a caliper for a brake. The metallic mold includes a body part of the metallic mold, and a sprue part for pouring molten metal. The sprue part is made of a material having a smaller coefficient of thermal conductivity than that of the material of the body part of the metallic mold.
