PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data protection device capable of reducing power which is used to protect data stored in a nonvolatile memory when a voltage of a main power supply unit is reduced, even in the case of the execution of consecutive write requests.SOLUTION: The data protection device includes: voltage monitoring means which detects a voltage reduction state where a voltage supplied from a main power supply unit to a memory controller which writes data to a nonvolatile memory in response to a write request of the data from a processor is lower than a prescribed voltage; and access rejection means which rejects a further write request from the processor in response to reception of a rejection instruction and, in the case that the voltage reduction state is detected, transmits the rejection instruction to the memory controller which is supplied with power from an auxiliary power supply unit if the supply voltage of the main power supply unit is reduced. |
