<p>The present invention relates to a method of calculating a cluster ratio for energy efficiency and a hierarchical sensor network system adopting the method and, more specifically, to the method of calculating a cluster ratio for energy efficiency which minimizes an overall hop count of a network system by analyzing benefits and losses between minimization of a system hop count in the hierarchical sensor network based on a multi-hop to one-hop transmission structure and maximization of a packet reception ratio (PRR) between nodes and calculating an optimal cluster ratio by considering both the minimization and maximization elements, and improves energy efficiency by reducing a network packet transmission cost and a retransmission overhead between nodes, and the hierarchical sensor network system adopting the method. The present invention relates to a method of calculating a cluster ratio of a hierarchical sensor network system based on a multi-hop to one-hop transmission structure and provides a method of calculating a cluster ratio for energy efficiency, comprising: obtaining an overall hop count of the network system; obtaining the PRR between nodes in a cluster; and calculating the cluster ratio by considering the minimization of the network system hop count and the maximization of the PRR.</p> |
