The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sealing agent for a one drop fill process which has excellent hardness and suppresses the occurrence of seal breakage and liquid crystal contamination, and in which gap failure hardly occurs. The purpose of the present invention is also to provide a vertically conducting material and a liquid crystal display element which are produced using the sealing agent for a one drop fill process. The present invention is a sealing agent for a one drop fill process which is used in the production of liquid crystal display elements by means of a one drop fill process, the sealing agent including a curable resin, a polymerization initiator and/or thermosetting agent, and soft particles, and the maximum particle size of the soft particles being at least 100% of the cell gap of the liquid crystal display element and in the range of 5 μm to 20 μm.
