PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting system and a component mounting method which allow for component mounting work with reference to appropriate component data corresponding to the switching of manufacturers, even in a production field of component mounting where the same electronic components of different component manufacturers are used mixedly.SOLUTION: In a process for delivering electronic components continuously to a component mounting mechanism by a component mounting device, when switching of the manufacturers of electronic components from a first carrier tape 18(1) involved in a preceding component to a second carrier tape 18(2) involved in a following component is detected by a joint detection sensor S, second component data related to an electronic component supplied by the second carrier tape 18(2) is read from a storage section. Consequently, the component mounting mechanism allows for component mounting work with reference to appropriate component data corresponding to the switching of component manufacturers. |
