PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery that is capable of stably performing operation at a high potential and has excellent charge/discharge capacity.SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery uses an olivine type positive electrode active material as a positive electrode material and is a composite composed of the olivine type positive electrode material and metal. The olivine type positive electrode active material is particles having a diameter of 5 nm to 5 μm. Alternatively, a lithium ion secondary battery uses an olivine type positive electrode active material as a positive electrode material and is a composite composed of the olivine type positive electrode material and metal. The metal is Au, Ag, Pt, Ru, or Pd. |
