PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw fastening device and a screw fastening method in which abnormal biting to each other of a male screw and a female screw can be prevented and an operation rate can be improved.SOLUTION: A screw fastening device 1 related to the present invention comprises a motor 11 which generates drive force, a driver bit 18 which is rotated by the drive force of the motor 11, torque detection means 13 which detects rotation torque, and a screw fastening control part 20 which drives the motor 11 and makes the driver bit 18 fasten a screw 2. The screw fastening control part 20 compares the torque detected by the torque detection means 13 with a predetermined torque in a case that the driver bit 18 is fastening the screw 2 to a screw hole 4, and stops the motor 11 in a case that the torque detected by the torque detection means 13 exceeds the predetermined torque. |
