PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for tire molding and a tire molding method which do not so require assembling accuracy and cause any generation of defects such as the biting of rubber even if the die for tire molding is used over a long period.SOLUTION: Provided is a die for tire molding comprising: a first die 2 and a second die 3 relatively movable along the axial direction of a green tire 6 and respectively capable of being abutted against the respective side parts of the green tire 6; and a third die 4 capable of moving to the radial direction of the green tire 6 and being abutted against the tread part of the green tire 6. The third die 4 includes a sector 8 made of aluminum being abutted against the tread part of the green tire 6 and a segment 7 having a gap movable to the axial core direction and circumferential direction of the green tire 6 in a state before die closing and holding the sector 8 and abutting the same against the tread part of the green tire upon die closing.
