A computer-implemented method is performed by a mobile device for automatically activating a particular operation mode. The method includes: dividing a predefined time window into multiple time segments for the mobile device based on a user's schedule; for each time segment, defining an operation mode and associated information for the mobile device, wherein the associated information includes a set of instructions for processing incoming calls or messages during the time segment; and upon detection of the start of a particular time segment: identifying a corresponding operation mode; and activating the identified operation mode on the mobile device such that, in response to an incoming call or message, the mobile device performs a set of instructions associated with the operation mode. |
