PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera unit capable of suppressing a cracking stress applied to a cover glass, suppressing contaminants generated from a bonding member as much as possible, and ensuring high reliability and having fewer faults without greatly increasing the number of assembly man-hours even if the bonding member is used to hold the cover glass.SOLUTION: A camera unit includes: an imaging element; a lens; a cover glass; and a hood including holding means holding the cover glass. The imaging element, the lens, and the cover glass are arranged in this order; the hood is configured by fitting two members; the holding means includes tapered portions in the two members, respectively; each tapered portion presses the cover glass on an opposite side of the cover glass to a side on which the lens is arranged; and the holding means holds the cover glass with adhesive or a rubber member applied on a part of a lens-side surface of the cover glass and a surface of the hood. |
