<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control device capable of properly controlling to control target.SOLUTION: The steering control device outputs assist torque according to steering torque detected by a steering shaft by a motor, and controls steering characteristic. Load estimation means (21) determines estimated load which is an estimated value of road surface load applied to a steering wheel from the road surface based on the steering torque. Target creation means (22) creates target steering torque which is a target value of the steering torque by using the estimated load. Command value creation means (23, 24) create a command value for controlling the motor so that the steering torque matches the target steering torque. Command value estimation means is configured so that response frequency of the steering torque to the target steering torque is in a range from the maximum frequency of a first control frequency band which is frequency band required for response to steering of a driver and transmission of road surface information, to the maximum frequency of a second control frequency band which is torque response frequency band of the motor.</p> |
