摘要 Provided is a secondary battery that prevent a short circuit between electrodes by a simple structure and can easily discharge gas generated in the electrodes. The lithium ion battery (secondary battery) (1) comprises: a core (10) having cathodes (11) and anodes (12) stacked with separators (13) therebetween. The separators (13) have a first side (131) and a second side (132), which is the opposite side thereof, on an outer circumference. The cathodes (11) have a cathode current collector (111), a cathode active material (112) and an insulation part (14). The cathode current collector (111) includes a cathode lead (113) protruding further than the first side (131). The insulation part (14) is separated from the edge (112A) of the cathode active material (112) and is formed on both surfaces of the cathode lead (113) between the outer circumference (13A) of the separators (13) and the cathode lead. The insulation part (14) closes the first side (131) of the separators (13), which are arranged on both sides of the anodes (12) in the direction of stacking, as the core (10) has been formed.
