PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a proper engine start according to a traveling state.SOLUTION: A traveling control part 201 performs traveling control for traveling by using a drive force of a motor generator MG2 by stopping an engine 100. A dynamic valve control part 202 controls a VVL device 400. When a hybrid vehicle 1 travels at a first vehicle speed in the case that the engine 100 is started during the execution of the traveling control, the dynamic valve control part 202 controls the VVL device 400 so that at least either of a lift amount of an intake valve 118 and an operation angle of the intake valve 118 is reduced more than the case that the hybrid vehicle 1 travels at a second vehicle speed which is lower than the first vehicle speed, and the traveling control part 201 restarts the engine 100.
