PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-up display device capable of miniaturizing a device even when a shutter mechanism for closing an opening formed in a casing is installed.SOLUTION: A head-up display device 1 includes: a display unit 3; a combiner 2; a casing 8 formed with an opening on a top face; and a shutter mechanism 10 for closing the opening of the casing 8. The combiner 2 is configured to movable between an erection position where the combiner 2 is erected so as to be protruded from the opening of the casing 8 and a storage position where the combiner 2 is stored in the casing 8. The shutter mechanism 10 includes: a belt 35; a belt driving mechanism 37 for allowing the belt 35 to move in the longitudinal direction; and a plurality of shutter plates 38 for closing the opening of the casing 8. The plurality of shutter plates 38 are formed like substantially rectangular plates with a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the belt 35 as a longitudinal direction, and fixed to the belt 35 so as to be made adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction of the belt 35.
