<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane pump having a low wear property and low noise development, in which a volume of a pump chamber is made maximized.SOLUTION: A vane pump (1) is provided which includes: a cam ring (11) having an inner contour (14) with a radius (r) about a rotational axis (13) of a rotor (12) changing between a minimum radius (r) and a maximum radius (r); and a vane member (16) provided in the rotor, sliding against the cam ring inner contour and limiting a pump chamber (15') . In the vane pump (1), the radius of the inner contour is determined according to a function: r=r+a.sin(n.φ), where ris (r+r)/2, a=(r-r)/2,φ=angle between the maximum radius (r) and the maximum radius (r) in a direction of rotation of the rotor (12), and n is a lift section number having the pump chamber. The inner contour draws a locus at an outer side with respect to an oval inner contour (21) by a conventional technique.</p> |
