PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve welding quality.SOLUTION: An arc welding apparatus according to an embodiment includes a detection section, a feed adjustment section, a determination section, and an indication section. The feed adjustment section adjusts a feed state of a consumable electrode so as to perform a normal feed when the detection section detects an arc state, and so as to perform a reverse feed when the detection section detects a short-circuit state. The indication section instructs the feed adjustment section to continue the reverse feed until the determination section determines that a certain period of time has passed after the detection section detects the short-circuit state even when the detection section detects the arc state.
