Bitumen cutback agents

Disclosed herein is the use of a bitumen cutback agents comprising lower alkyl esters of shorter chain length fatty acids, such as C1–3 alkyl esters of C6–14 fatty acids. Specifically wherein the bitumen cutback agent is esterified or transesterified coconut oil fatty acids of palm kernel oil fatty acids. Further disclosed is the use in a method of bitumen seal coating or cold mix application.
