<p>The present invention relates to a system and a method for authenticating by using a card medium, capable of satisfying a medium separation principle while ensuring the use convenience. The authentication system using the card medium is a system realized through a server making communication with a terminal and including: an identification value storage unit to store a registered identification value to identify the card medium embedded therein with an antenna and a chip and having a random number table marked on at least one surface thereof; and an authentication procedure performing unit that performs an authentication procedure to authenticate a code provided from the chip of the card medium to the terminal when the code, which is sent from the chip embedded in the card medium to the terminal through the antenna, is received according to a specified procedure, and performs an authentication procedure to authenticate a code of the random number table marked on the at least one surface of the card medium when receiving the code of the random number table marked on the at least one surface of the card medium from the terminal.</p> |
