<p>Disclosed is a device which enables collaborative contributions for the purchase of goods or services. The device includes an input device, an output device and a communication interface all in communication with a processor and memory. The device is in communication with a database. The device is adapted to receive input from one or more users and permits the users individually and separately to make a contribution in a predetermined amount towards a designated target contribution amount. The device implements a ticketing system whereby a predetermined number of tickets are made available for distribution for a specified transaction for a predetermined period of time whereby the transaction must be completed by no later than the predetermined period of time. The predetermined number, the predetermined time and a transaction result are publicised. Tf the tickets are all distributed by the predetermined time or earlier then one ticket is randomly selected and the entity associated with that ticket is awarded the benefit of the transaction.</p> |
