<p>Disclosed herein is a transdermal drug administration device comprising a drug delivery element defining a contact surface for location, in use, against a patient’s skin. The drug delivery element includes a sustained-release pharmaceutical composition, comprising an active pharmaceutical ingredient co-formedly interspersed within secondary pores of a solid, continuous network of an inorganic carrier material possessing a high mechanical strength such that the network maintains its overall integrity when a force of about 1 kg-force/cm2 or greater is applied.</p> |
