The current disclosure relates to biphenyl containing aminobutyric derivatives of formula (I), wherein the various functional group are defined in the specification. The disclosure also relates to methods of manufacture and intermediates, along with pharmaceutical compositions and the use of these compounds as neprilysin inhibitors, which are useful in treating hypertension and heart failure.
