<p>A light guide plate according to the present invention includes a light guide member having a first and second main surfaces and a diffusing member next to at least one of the first and second main surfaces of the light guide member. A plurality of recesses are formed in one of the two main surfaces of the diffusing member that is opposite to the main surface next to the light guide member to diffuse light incident to the light guide member at the recesses. Preferably, each of the recesses has a recessed surface with a protrusion and a depression. The recesses may include a first recess and a second recess. Preferably, when viewing the first main surface of the light guide member in a normal direction, a distance between a light incident surface and the second recess is greater than that between the light incident surface and the first recess, and the second recess is larger than the first recess.</p> |
