Use of an essential oil of cedar in an anti-aging cosmetic composition, is claimed. ACTIVITY : Dermatological; Antibacterial. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Claudin-1 expression stimulator. The ability of (I) to stimulate the expression of claudin-1 was tested in normal human skin. The result showed that the essential oil of cedar exhibited the percentage of claudin-1 expression of 59% at 0.005%.
