A purpose of the invention is to provide a vehicle seat of which the degree of freedom in the design can be enhanced. A vehicle seat is provided with a seat cushion (S1) and a seat back (S2); the vehicle seat is also provided with left and right side frames (20) constituting left and right frames of the seat back (S2), a pressure-receiving member (40) placed between the left and right side frames (20) and receiving the load from the vehicle occupant, and drive mechanisms (50) that are placed on both the left and right sides of the pressure-receiving member (40) and that move the left or right end of the pressure-receiving member (40) from an initial position to a forward advanced position or from the advanced position to the initial position; the drive mechanisms (50) have linking mechanisms (51) linked to the pressure-receiving member (40) and drive sources (52) for operating the linking mechanisms (51); and the linking mechanisms (51) are configured so as to operate and move the pressure-receiving member (40) to a retracted position rearward of the initial position when at least a prescribed load is inputted to the pressure-receiving member (40) from the vehicle occupant. |
