<p>Extending the design of lOmL vaccination syringes, this animal Treatment Gun (fig 1) has a Spring (42) returned Nose Cone (3) directly coupled by a Trip Bar (1) to a double Plate Cam (27) acting upon a Pawl (30) engaged with a Rack (10) attached to a Syringe Plunger (8) that all work in concert to release energy stored in a coil Spring (11) when the Syringe Needle (2) is inserted to its required inter-muscular depth. The Nose Cone (3) when fully depressed also allows a dosage to be drawn through the Needle (2) into the syringe by withdrawal of the Syringe Plunger (8) by Dosage Pin (7) in 2mL increments set by the Gauge Plate (38). The stored spring force is achieved by moving two co-joined Levers (14) by a Handle Bar (12) through 180 degrees to rest against Extension Tube (36). Two Fulcrum Pins (16), one mid way on each Lever (14), are anchored to Link Plate (17) which move forward Pivot Rod (19) that passes through slots on each side of Gun Case (5) and the centre of Bobbin (20) to compress the Coil Spring (11) and lock the levers against rebound by their over centre action. A removable Extension Tube (36) acts as a stop for the Handle Bar (12) and extends the guns operating length while a removable Pistol Grip (44) extends the gun's working efficiency and flexibility at close range.
