A display panel (100), comprising a display area (10a) and a non-display area (10b); and at least one light-emitting chip (40) and a control circuit (30) which are arranged in the non-display area (10b). The control circuit (30) is connected to the at least one light-emitting chip (40) and is used for controlling the luminance or non-luminance of the at least one light-emitting chip (40). Since a light source comes with the display panel (100), the help of an external light source is not needed, so that the volume of a backlight module can be reduced.
