A competition javelin made to conform to all the rules of the governing body, having the highest possible transverse moment of inertia at its center of gravity. With this dramatic increase in its transverse moment of inertia, the novel javelin's position in flight is less influenced by the aerodynamic pitching moment, resulting in longer flights.
