In this cup holder (10), a controller (28) calculates a container housing part temperature gradient &Dgr;T, on the basis of the temperature (T) detected by a thermistor (26) situated within a protruding part (30) in the bottom part of a container housing part (14). On the basis of whether the container housing part temperature gradient &Dgr;T is equal to or greater than a heating reference temperature gradient α, or equal to or less than a cooling reference temperature gradient &bgr;, the controller (28) automatically carries out heating or cooling of the container housing part (14). Because the decision to heat or cool is made on the basis of this container housing part temperature gradient &Dgr;T only, accurate heating/cooling control can be carried out using only a single temperature sensor. |
