<p>The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing malfunction of an engine to diagnose malfunction of the engine based on sensor data collected from a sensor module installed in the engine. The engine malfunction diagnosis method comprises the steps of: generating residual and a coefficient of a system model based on the received sensor data; collecting new sensor data from at least one selected sensor; carrying out coefficient pattern comparison based on the generated coefficient; carrying out residual waveform comparison based on the generated residual; and determining that the engine malfunctions when it is determined as malfunction based on results from the carried out coefficient pattern comparison and coefficient pattern comparison.</p> |
