METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MODELING PATIENT-SPECIFIC BLOOD FLOW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for modeling patient-specific blood flow.SOLUTION: One of computer systems is structured so as to: non-invasively acquire patient-specific data about a geometric shape of patient's heart through coronary computed-tomography angiography (CCTA); and generate a three-dimensional model that at least partially shows the heart on the basis of the patient-specific data. This computer system is also structured so as to: generate a physics-based model relating to characteristics of blood flow through the patient's heart; and specify a fractional flow reserve (FFR) of a coronary artery in the patient's heart on the basis of the three-dimensional model and this physics-based model.
